Attendees and exhibitors connecting during a Hispanic Construction Trade Show

Hispanic Construction Market Strategy

Build a stronger relationship with the Hispanic construction market.

Hispanic contractors, tradespeople, and construction business owners are central to the construction industry. Velez Strategies helps companies build national partnership strategies and initiatives designed for contractors that earn a stronger place in the market.

Discuss Your Market Strategy

A more credible approach

Translation is not a Hispanic market strategy.

Companies often spend heavily on translated materials, printed campaigns, advertising, and in house marketing that never connects with the people they are trying to reach. The language may be technically correct but still sound unfamiliar. The images may have nothing to do with construction. The message may focus on what the company wants to say instead of what contractors and business owners need to know before they give a brand their attention and purchasing power.

Hispanic contractors know when a company understands their work and when it does not. They recognize the difference between a brand that wants to build a relationship with the industry and one that is simply trying to enter the market quickly.

A stronger strategy starts with the industry itself: how contractors work, where they buy, who they trust, and what shapes their purchasing decisions.

Experience built inside the market

Industry relationships built through real work.

For more than 15 years, Lissette Velez has worked directly with Hispanic contractors, small business owners, suppliers, national brands, and community partners. Her experience comes from building programs, partnerships, and industry relationships with the people companies are trying to reach.

While leading the Hispanic Contractors Association of the Carolinas, Lissette helped design and build the Hispanic Construction Trade Show in Charlotte in partnership with Lowe’s. The format continued for multiple years in Charlotte and later in Raleigh, giving companies a direct way to demonstrate products, meet contractors, learn from the market, and begin relationships that continued beyond the event. That same experience now informs national partnership strategy and market building work across the United States.

Selected brand and market work

Work that helps companies earn trust and grow their presence in the Hispanic construction market.

Velez Strategies helps companies understand the markets, audiences, and opportunities before them, then build strategies that reach the people and communities they intend to serve. Our work is strategic and culturally grounded, building relationships and opportunities in ways that make sense to Hispanic communities, strengthen trust, elevate brand awareness and market positioning, and connect teams with trusted networks. We create initiatives that build a lasting market presence, strengthen a firm’s reputation, and support sustainable growth.

Build a market strategy that fits the industry.

Identify the contractors, business owners, and decision makers a company needs to reach; understand what affects their purchasing decisions; and determine where the brand has the strongest opportunity to build presence.

Develop initiatives contractors will use.

Create useful contractor events, product demonstrations, workshops, supplier initiatives, safety efforts, business development programs, and other experiences that give contractors a real reason to connect with the brand.

Build national partnerships that expand reach.

Develop relationships with industry organizations, contractor networks, community leaders, and other trusted connections that strengthen the company’s presence and help it reach the market credibly across the United States.

Turn first contact into stronger customer relationships.

Plan the follow up, feedback, and relationship building that helps contractors remember the brand, use its products or services, and return when they make their next purchasing decision.

Invest in the relationships behind market growth

The market is built on work, relationships, and reputation.

Companies that want to earn a stronger place in the Hispanic construction market need to understand the people behind the work and create experiences that make sense to them. Velez Strategies turns that understanding into stronger strategies, partnerships, and initiatives designed for contractors.
